Jonathan Loveless was born in Honolulu Hawaii where he remained until he was 27. At that point he decided to move to Oregon where he met his future wife in 1991. Eva had been tattooing for 10 years by then. Jonathan was intrigued with the tattooing lifestyle and the piercing scene that was just starting to take off.

Encouraged by Eva to “do it right” Jonathan went to, what at that time was called Fakir Musafar’s School of Body Piercing in 1994. Fakir introduced Jonathan to piercing’s more spiritual and shamanic side. Jonathan learned the basics and really took his professionalism seriously. In his desire to provide his customers with the very best service, Jonathan sought out quality body jewelry.

Lucky for him JD Lorenz and Industrial Strength were just down the road.

 

Jonathan was impressed with the quality of Industrial Strength’s jewelry and JD’s willingness to ask piercers what they wanted and to design his jewelry with them in mind.

 

Jonathan and Eva opened their own tattoo shop in 1997 called Art Throb Tattoo. Jonathan used Industrial Strength jewelry at his shop for 9 years. He could have used cheaper jewelry, but the quality of the cheap jewelry was poor. By using the very best jewelry and by just being Jonathan, he developed a huge customer following.

 

There were times in the 9 years that Jonathan and Eva owned Art Throb that the jewelry sales alone kept the shop afloat.

 

During his time as a piercer Jonathan was always on a quest for knowledge. That quest continues today. Jonathan’s friendship with JD and Industrial Strength grew over the years because he found that JD was just as interested in learning everything he could about body jewelry, materials and design as he was.

 

Through countless hours and a lot of hard work Industrial Strength continues to manufacture the absolute best body jewelry in the world.

 

When Eva and Jonathan expressed a desire to move to Europe JD offered them an opportunity to distribute Industrial Strength jewelry to the European Union. So here we are, Industrial Strength International, bringing you quality, innovation, knowledge and convenience.
